Welcome to the Leamington Carnival Website. A team was formed in early December (2013) and since then plans have been in full swing to bring back Leamington Carnival. The carnival took place in 2014 and was a great success!. The carnival which dates back to the early 1900's was for many years a fixture of Leamington life, drawing thousands to the Town Centre to watch the dozens of floats in the procession. In 1996 the last procession took place and the carnival survived in fete form only on the Pump Room Gardens for a further two years.

Who's Who?

In previous years the team organising this event has been called a 'Committee'. We're bringing this event into the 21st century, but keeping it's traditional values. Our team roles will be re-named (please see below)

If you'd like to become a member of the organising team, drop us an email - info@leamingtoncarnival.org.uk

Hi I’m Jamie Walker Chairman of Leamington Carnival. I'm 23 and live in Warwick. In my professional life, I am one of the Company Directors of CJs Events Warwickshire. I organise public events across Warwick District, including the weekly Retail & monthly Farmers Markets in Warwick, Kenilworth & Leamington along with other events such as Warwick Food Festival, Leamington Independents Day and more. We also provide event services to other organisers such as Traffic Management and Security.

In my day job, I've provided Traffic Management to Kenilworth Carnival for a few years, back in 2014 it was my aim to create a Carnival for Leamington. Leamington is an incredible town and already has some great events, but I wanted hold an event aimed at the whole community which everyone can get involved in, including businesses. This has been made possible with an amazing planning team, support from Leamington Town Council and of course BID Leamington.

I'm Steph the Assistant Chair in this year’s carnival. I'm 22 years old and live in Warwick with my family. I work as a Commercial Team Leader at Sainsburys Wellesbourne which i started earlier this year. and I enjoy my job!

I took part in the carnival because it is such a great family event for the whole community to take part in. When the procession went down the Parade back in 2014 for the first time in 18 years, it was a very proud moment for myself & the committee.

We want the 2016 Carnival to be even bigger & better, and I believe with the committee we have this is achievable.

After joining Kenilworth Carnival Committee earlier this year, and taking part in carnival day, it was an amazing feeling being part of an incredible event which has such good community spirit.

Once seeing the call out for the Leamington Carnival, I decided to get involved. I love being part of large events which bring the community together, and look forward to working with the team to deliver the 2016 Carnival.

I moved to Leamington after completing my degree at Warwickshire College, and I now work full-time as Manager of The Cloisters Physiotherapy Clinic. In my spare time I am an equestrian at heart, and as part of my degree I helped to organise equestrian events – something I absolutely loved and wanted to get back into.

After seeing the success of the 2014 Leamington Carnival I was keen to get involved in future events and be a part of something that was central to the local community. I absolutely love being on the Committee and look forward to working with everyone to organise next year’s Carnival too!
